Greetings!
PictureOfDon
I don't know about you, but I am learning a lot about fiber.  I have really enjoyed the series of definitions about various kinds of fiber.  Please check out the web sites referred to in the article for the definition.  This week the definition is bicomponent fiber.  It is hard to distill all the information into a one page pdf.  Various companies and educational institutions have done a great job providing information on the web about bico.  Have fun clicking and learning.

The term this week is bicomponent fiber.  I came across many interesting links.  Check them out.

Here is the link for the term

A simple, one page explanation of the various geomenteries for bico from Fiber Innovation Technology.
Bico information from Fibervisions
Bico information from Swicofil
An interesting pdf on microfiber from Standsing
Some great pictures on microfiber from DuroTurf
A discussion on bico from Hills
Bico extrusion from Azom
Bico fibers from Univ of Tenn
Nozzle information from Kasen Nozzle Mfg.

I always recommend that you print the weekly definition on a color printer and place it on the tables in your canteen.  Here is a link to an inexpensive plastic stand that will protect the page from food spills and make it easy to read.

With everything that is happening with the tech world, how do you keep up with it?  Here are a few web sites that are my favorites for getting information about everything that is new as well as evaluating what is good and what is junk.

My favorite that I check every day is Engadget.
Another interesting site is Gizmodo.
If you are looking for a site that really does in depth evaluations, check out Testfreaks.
