Locally, we have some people who are very big on promoting the use of social networks to advance business.  We even have an organization in Greenville called the Social Media Club that meets monthly.  Apparently these methods of advertising are getting some traction.  See this article about what INDA is doing with respect to the IDEA10 show coming up in April.
