Greetings!
PictureOfDonThe primary goal of this newsletter is to promote training in the nonwovens industry.  However, I know that many who read this also want to stay up to date with what is going on with nonwovens in general.  For that reason, I have added some links of interest in my quick links section. RDM, Nonwovens Industry, and INDA pump out much more information than I do, but you receive my e-mail first thing Monday morning.  I though it might be helpful to be able to quickly get to them from this newsletter.

I am always open to suggestions for other links and/or information you would like in this e-mail.  However, I do not want to stray from its primary purpose.

Have a great week.

Term Definition - In Duct Metal Detctor
Metal DetctorIf you  have ever had to reclothe a card because a piece of metal got into it, you know the importance of metal detection.  The definition this week addresses one method of preventing metal getting into the card.

                              This week's definition

I always recommend that you print the weekly definition on a color printer and place it on the tables in your canteen.  Here is a link to an inexpensive plastic stand that will protect the page from food spills and make it easy to read.
Training That Works
Camera

Anyone who does training needs to be able to use a camera.  However, there is a great difference between "point and shoot" and using a camera effectively.  A good trainer must capture images that focus the learners attention.  It takes knowledgege and practice to compose and shoot effective training pictures.  Thankfully there are many helpful siteson the web from which we can learn.
I suggest you check out the manufacturers sites like Canon, Nikon, and Kodak. Here are two more sites you can visit.  DCViews also provides a good list of additional links.  Photoexels and
