Greetings!
PictureOfDonAlmost ten years ago I started Omega Engineered Technologies as a part time business to help put my kids through college.  I would bring home needle boards and the kids would help needle on the weekends.

Things evolved and I developed the technology for recovering needle boards.  We could offer more to the customers and the business grew.  Sometime later we figured out how to straighten boards and more business came our way.

About two years ago we developed a relationship with Louis P Batson and they started representing us to the needlepunch nonwoven plants.  The business grew some more.

I hope it is a sign of an improving economy, but the needleboard repair business is picking up.  Just last week we received boards from three different customers.

I have told you all of this because I want to let you know how grateful my family and I are for the business that many of you have sent our way over the years.  I trust that Omega has provided a valuable service for you and that you will allow us to continue to repair you boards for many years to come.

Definition of the week - Shear Slitter
ShearSlit
Over the years I have found that many employees have trouble setting shear slitters.  I think this is because they do not know how a shear slitter works.  This week's definition explains the three main settings.

If you are interested I also have a good computer based training lesson on shear slitting.
