It is always exciting to find new companies springing up to support the nonwovens industry. I recently linked to someone new on LinkedIn .com. Looking at his home page I saw that he is working with a company called RDM Solutions Group. I checked their web site and found that RDM is a new company comprised of several individuals with much experience and expertise in nonwovens. Definition of the week - Denier

How much do your employees really know about fiber? Do they know the difference between synthetic and natural fibers? Do they know that synthetic fibers can be made with different deniers? They probably use the word denier without understanding what it means. Many people think denier means diameter, because the higher the denier, the thicker the fiber is.
