Greetings!
PictureOfDon
This is arriving on Tuesday because of Labor Day.  I hope you had a nice day off.  Here in South Carolina there is a hint of fall in the air and it is refreshing. Fall always seems like a time of increased activity.  Let's hope this is the case in our nation's economy.

Definition for the Week

The definition this week is about the terms MD and CD.  Of course these stand for machine direction and cross direction.  Do your operators understand that their nonwoven line makes fabric that is often quite different in the machine direction when compared with the cross machine direction?

Fitesa to build new plant

I live in Greenville, SC and we have good news.  The Brazilian company Fitesa has joined with Fiberweb to build two new spunbond lines on the Fiberweb campus in Simpsonville, SC which is just a few miles from Greenville.  The local paper says they will spend more than $100 million on the venture and it will be called FitesaFiberweb.

Thanks for supporting Nonwoven Tools LLC.  Don't forget about our other company Omega Engineered Technologies LLC that does needling and needle board repair.

Sincerely,
