Greetings!
PictureOfDon
The bottom line for any company is to make profits.  We propose to do that by making employees better through training.  How do you know if it is working?  You measure results.  What results?  Downtime and quality.  This week we highlight our tools for measuring downtime and quality.

PS.  I'm on vacation next week, so I'll be back to you again in two weeks.

INDA Glossary
Every week I provide an in-depth definition of a nonwoven term with pictures and drawings.  It is going to take years to go through the important nonwoven terms.  You can get a bunch of definitions all at once by downloading the glossary INDA has compiled.  You can find it at:

Measure What You Do

If you are around me very much you will hear me say "If you cannot measure it you cannot understand it, and if you do not measure it you cannot control it".  In other words, how can you get better if you don't know where you are?  For that reason I have created tools for measuring nonwoven companies.  These are sophisticated database applications. Do you have the ability within 15 minutes after the end of a shift to know everything about production, waste, downtime, and quality in your plant?  Can you relate this to specific machines and shifts?  Can you compile it on a weekly and monthly basis?  Look at my website for some ideas using the link below.

Thanks for supporting Nonwoven Tools LLC.  Don't forget about our other company Omega Engineered Technologies LLC that does needling and needle board repair.
