Grand Park Community Recreation Center "Spooky Special"

Join us on Sunday, October 30th for a $5 per person, all day pass to the Grand Park Community Recreation Center.

Christina Russell is changing her Zumba from Tues 6:15 to Wednesday @ 6:30pm Starting September 7th.   
Ski Conditioning  Get ready for the ski season with this challenging circuit workout. During this class you will be using bands, BOSUs, medicine balls, physioballs plus much more to improve balance, lower body and core strength. Exercises can be scaled or modified for those with knee or back issues. When registering for this class you are committing to all eight weeks as this is a progressive class. There are no drop ins. The Mon/Wed AM and PM classes will be geared for all abilities and the Tues/Thur PM class will be for more advanced individuals and include more high impact exercises.  $70  for members.

Red Cross Babysitting Training
The Baby-sitting Basics course is ideal for current and future baby-sitters. It will teach them the best ways to be safe and keep children in their care safe. It comes from the American Red Cross which is a nationally recognized leader in health and safety training. This class will prepare you with the necessary skills to be a qualified baby sitter.  This training shows you how to respond to emergencies and recognize safety issues that you might face with pre-school and younger children. The cost of the class includes a textbook and first aid kit. Please bring snacks and a lunch.

Stained Glass - Sun Catcher Workshop    
Looking for a new hobby? Stressing over a Holiday gift for those hard to buy for on your list?  Come join Patty Alander for this short workshop designed to teach the basics of stained glass giving you the ability to complete a sun catcher. Cutting,grinding & soldering techniques, as well as terminology will be covered.

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT 

Friday October 14th & 28th  from 4:30-8:30pm. Open for children age 3+ (must be potty trained).  Let your kids have fun at the Rec while you enjoy time on the town!  $15/ child $10/2nd child members and $20 / $15 for non-members. Please pre-register

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

FVMRD, in conjunction with JoAnn Roberts,  is looking for volunteers to help kids in the pool and other activities during Parents Night out.  This is a fun opportunity to help Grand County kids and give their parent's a night of respite.  Each volunteer will be trained to work one on one with individual children.  The first evening will be October 28th.  For more information contact JoAnn at 970-531-9460 or email: jroberts_hppt@hotmail.com

Certified Pool/Spa Operator® Certification Program to be offered at the Grand Park Community Recreation Center

The CPO® course, developed by the National Swimming Pool Foundation, is designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations. The examination is given at the completion of the course. Graduates will receive a certificate, suitable for framing, and a wallet card by NSPF®.
