Mark your calendars for the "granddaddy" of all county festivals! Lakeside Festival takes place from June 30 to July 4 at the 12-acre Lakeside Park in Crystal Lake. Hosted by Lakeside Legacy Foundation, the festival is the largest showcase of local restaurants and entertainment in the Crystal Lake and McHenry County communities. McHenry County Living is a proud sponsor of this legendary event, which also features live music, carnival rides and fun for kids. Friday is Lunch in the Park and Dinner in the Park in downtown Crystal Lake - great reasons to take a break from work and/or get the family together outdoors for dinner and entertainment. Saturday, everyone loves the thrill of America's Cardboard Cup Regatta at Main Beach in Crystal Lake (pictured). Saturday is Relay For Life of North McHenry County - a celebration of the lives of people who have battled cancer. Saturday, spend an afternoon visiting businesses in Marengo during the annual Putt-Putt Challenge. Take in some beauty Saturday during The McHenry Garden Club Garden Walk featuring five extraordinary local gardens. The Family Camping Sampler Saturday promises to be outdoor fun for the whole family at Marengo Ridge Conservation Area!
