Tonight is Ladies Night Out in Woodstock - don't miss great specials at retailers and restaurants, plus limo service and a rose! Carriage rides are Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 18 will also be offered as part of Victorian Christmas on the Woodstock Square.

Friday through Sunday, Woodstock Musical Theatre Company presents their holiday production of "A Christmas Story" at the Woodstock Opera House.

The Lakeside Singers Christmas Concert at Raue Center Saturday will include everything from contemporary to classic holiday choral songs.

Marengo & Union's 19th Annual Holiday Housewalk will be held this weekend featuring 50+ crafters and artists in 27 locations.

Friday through Sunday, the Volo Antique Malls and Mercantile Mall host the annual Holiday Open House featuring great deals.

Saturday, the Wonder Lake Chamber of Commerce's Winter Wonder Walk will include Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, ice sculpting and more.

Saturday, The Hooved Animal Humane Society is sponsoring a Holiday Party and Adoption Drive with hot beverages, baked goods, pony rides for children, carriage rides, a craft table for children and pictures with Santa.

Celebrate the McHenry County Historical Society's Holiday Open House Saturday with holiday music, old-fashioned homemade cookies, a Christmas movie and Christmas toys by decade.

Fun For the Family

This weekend, Happy Holiday Railway begins at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union.

Saturday, North Pole at the Dole includes a number of family-friendly events including arts workshops, cooking classes and MCYO's Holiday Concert.

Bring the family out to Merry Cary Sunday - "the biggest community event in town," which kicks off with a parade downtown at noon.

On Saturday, Woodstock VFW Post 5040 is sponsoring Breakfast with Santa.

Saturday, Christmas in Harvard includes Santa's Gift Shoppe, Christmas parade, Santa visits and horse-drawn carriage rides.

And congrats to Corbin's Exotic Pets on its new store in Buffalo Grove (802 S. Buffalo Grove Rd.). The original location is at 212 Lindow Lane in Marengo. Stop by either store for unique holiday gift ideas!
