Race against friends and family while shedding some pounds before putting on the feedbag during the Thanksgiving morning Trout Valley Turkey Trot. During the event, donate to the food drive to benefit local food pantries.

Friday, Victorian Christmas on the Woodstock Square kicks off with the Lighting of the Woodstock Square;  Saturday is Santa and his Reindeer and The Dickens Carolers; and Sunday is the Woodstock Christmas Parade. And don't forget, you can knock out all of your Christmas shopping on the Woodstock Square!

Also starting Friday, celebrate the holidays in Ridgefield during Kris Kringle Days; at Kimball & Bean's Home for the Holidays events in Woodstock; and Downtown Crystal Lake's Festival of Lights Parade, Santa Visits, Gingerbread Contest and holiday shopping. 

Friday is family holiday portrait time! RFP Photography and Raue Center have teamed up to offer a beautiful setting in which to create your greeting cards.

Next Wednesday, plan on attending the 5th Annual Holiday Luncheon And Book Review at D'Andrea Banquets in Crystal Lake. Join book dramatist Barbara Rinella as she presents "Claude and Camille," a  wonderful historical novel of  Claude Monet by Stephanie Cowell highlighting the artist's dreams, desires and passions.
