Saturday, Mistletoe Magic at Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock features hop wool, knitted and felted items, doll clothes, items by Grace Sewers, florals, jewelry, coffee, global gifts, cookie walk, bake sale and preserves, plus live entertainment and childcare available - proceeds benefit several great causes.

Sunday at the Harvest Gathering Of 1858 in Glacial Park, try your hand at shelling corn, grinding it into flour or making a cornhusk doll - tour the historic farmhouse with costumed interpreters.

Saturday, the Huntley Historic Preservation Commission invites area residents to celebrate Veterans' Day 2010 with a scenic bus tour of the homes and lives of Huntley's war veterans.



Health, Wellness & Green Living
Friday, Centegra Diabetes Fair at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center in Huntley is composed of information to highlight the unknown symptoms of diabetes while assisting those attending who already know they have the disease.

Sunday, the Northwest Trail Run At Veterans Acres Park will benefit The Crystal Lake Park District Foundation or the Centegra Foundation. Canned goods will be collected the day of the race for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.

greenlifeSaturday, the 3rd Annual Bioneers Conference & Green Expo at MCC the event will feature breakout sessions that focus on local and organic food, how to be a locavore, energy efficiency resources and global climate change.
