For the next two consecutive Saturdays and Sundays, Trick Or Treat Trolley at the Illinois Rail Museum in Union will have treats for kids in costume.

Starting Friday, Theater Undreground will be performing the sequel to last year's show "Not What You Expected."
For the next two Fridays and Saturdays, expect a great time at Still Not Quite What You Expected: Theater Undreground in Richmond. Theater in McHenry County doesn't get more DIY or local than this - the production is written by Katelin Stack of Woodstock; directed by Jeremy Greenfield of Johnsburg (his debut!); and  produced by Theater Undreground founder and regular David Baker.

Saturday night at the Raue is quintessential folk singer Arlo Guthrie's only Chicagoland performance - not to be missed!

Saturday, the interactive murder mystery - Death At The Dole in Crystal Lake - will feature dinner (catered by 1776), cocktails, jazz and dancing!

And Sunday morning, watch (or set the DVR for) Chicagoing With Danny Wright, Emily Bear And Tim Paul on ABC 7. Piano Trends provided the blue piano on set for Danny and Emily. Both artists will appear together in concert at Raue Center in Crystal Lake on November 6. 

Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Woodstock Opera House is the final run of "Love, Sex and the I.R.S.," a comedy by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, is a wild farce with twists of fate, sight gags, mistaken identities, and hilarious comic lines.

Get your girls together! It's "Girls Wanna Have Fun" tonight at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake. Enjoy a free drink, gourmet appetizers, comedy performance and wine tasting - plus raffle prizes!

Saturday, Oktoberfest Spring Grove/Richmond at Thelen Park in Spring Grove will include food, a fun run, activities, music and more.

Fridays and Saturdays in October are Oktoberfest at Deeter's in Woodstock! Enjoy a special menu and sing along to authentic German music with Fredl & Hanne Lore. Plus - are you ready for a 2-liter boot of beer?!

Charity Events
pink ribbonSunday is the Care 4 Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk at Woodstock North High School. All proceeds go to the Family Health Partnership Clinic's Breast Cancer Fund and support the women of McHenry County.

Saturday, Rock Around The Hopps OktoberFEAST at Tony V's in Cary will be a fun, food and brew-filled benefit for the Village of Oakwood Hills' Veteran's Memorial Fund.

Health & Wellness

McHenry Township Junior Warriors (MTJW) will be tackling breast cancer one yard at a time throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This program will involve youth football players, parents and community members by adorning football fields with pink ribbon messages to honor or memorialize women battling breast cancer. Ribbons will be available for a $1 donation and "Warriors - Tackling Breast Cancer One Yard at a Time"  T-shirts will be available for a $10 donation at the home football field in October.
