Saturday and Sunday is the Trail of History - a  living history reenactment of the Northwest Territory from 1670-1850 presented by the McHenry County Conservation District. Enjoy activities, demonstrations, food and entertainment.

Saturday, the 37th annual Country Craft Fair at St. Paul's UCC in Crystal Lake will include approximately 45 talented crafters.

Friday, don't miss Lucy's Cafe, A Night of Comedy Featuring Bob Jay with Bill Brady and Pat McGann.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Woodstock Opera House, "Love, Sex and the I.R.S.," a comedy by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, is a wild farce with twists of fate, sight gags, mistaken identities, and hilarious comic lines.

Recording artist Sheri Kling will be performing in concert Saturday at the First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake.

Charity Events

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, wear PINK to The Growing Scene's garden center Friday through Sunday in Marengo and it will donate 10% of your total purchases to Breast Cancer Research.


Saturday, the Wonder Lake Neighbors Food Pantry will be holding a Fall Harvest Fundraiser including a funfair and karaoke and dancing hosted by DJ Rob M. at the Nativity Lutheran Church.


Sunday, gear up the Duathalon for the Dole - a 2-mile run, 20k bike ride followed by a second 2-mile run. Individual and team registration available. The race starts at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park in Crystal Lake.

pink ribbonMcHenry Township Junior Warriors (MTJW) will be tackling breast cancer one yard at a time throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This program will involve youth football players, parents and community members by adorning football fields with pink ribbon messages to honor or memorialize women battling breast cancer. Ribbons will be available for a $1 donation and "Warriors - Tackling Breast Cancer One Yard at a Time"  T-shirts will be available for a $10 donation at the home football field in October.
