Walk for a good cause on Sunday - the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk takes place in the morning at Sunset Park in Lake in the  Hills.





Family Fun

Bring the kids out to Saturday's Fall Family Fest in Cary (Lions Park) featuring a petting zoo, pony rides, balloon artist, Capture a Memory station, crafts, hayrides and a pumpkin patch. MCL is a proud sponsor of this event!

Sunday in Woodstock, HAHS Picnic and Fun Horse Show will include a fall picnic, accompanied by games, both pony and wagon rides, entertainment and delicious food. Proceeds go toward helping once-neglected horses.

Show your support Saturday at the Armed Forces Tribute Car Show at the Oakwood Hills park. This is a fundraiser for construction of a village tribute to past, present and future soldiers that will be located at Oakwood Hills Village Hall.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 39th Annual Saufen und Speil Festival celebrates Johnsburg's German heritage. Enjoy live music, food, games and childrens activities at the Johnsburg Community Club (2315 Church St.).The parade takes place on Sunday at noon.

Also ...
On Saturday the Environmental Defenders Recycling Drive will return to McHenry to collect fluorescent tubes, Styrofoam, household and car batteries, and other toxic items that might otherwise wind up in landfills.  Local volunteers will be on hand from 9 a.m. to noon to receive recyclable items at the Metra train station parking lot, 4005 Main St. in downtown McHenry.
