Family Friendly Events all Weekend Long!

As I put this week's Weekender together, we're also hard at work wrapping up the pages of our Back to School issue - there's something great in store for everyone! And you  needn't be a student  or faculty member to appreciate this issue, which features great pieces like our annual dining guide (my mouth was watering putting  that together!). Look for the issue in early August and online!

We hope to see you in the park tonight in Cary  featuring Soda - three lead singers playing fan favorites (7 p.m. at Lions Park). And next Tuesday in Crystal Lake, check out Big Guitars from Memphis playing country/rockabilly (7 p.m. at Main Beach). We'll be at both weekly events giving away free summer issues. Please stop by and say "hi!"

Speaking of arts and entertainment, this weekend is chock-full of great family-friendly shows. Woodstock Children's Summer Theater brings the classic children's tale "Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka" to the Woodstock Opera House
Friday through Sunday. FOCUS 2010 at Raue Center resumes at 7 p.m. Saturday where finalists will perform/present before the judging panel and the winners will be announced in all categories: fashion design, visual arts, performing arts and vocal ensemble. And Sunday at 6 p.m., head out to Lake in the Hills for a summer concert featuring Dueling Pianos (at on the north lawn behind Village Hall) - this is a free concert the entire family will enjoy!

Have a Great Weekend,
Erica
