Another great summer weekend is upon us - the forecast looks relatively dry so far (fingers crossed!).

For the kids in your life, there are a few great weekend activities to get them outdoors while having lots of fun.

Marengo Community High School will be hosting the second annual football camp next Wednesday through Saturday, open to all McHenry County kids 7-years-old through high school. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, local high school and college coaches will be on hand training; and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, three Chicago Bears (Israel Idonije, Anthony Adams and Kellen Davis) will be doing drills, signing autographs and taking pictures - Bear down!

As part of the Leave No Child Inside program in Fox River Grove, two upcoming programs promise lots of fun for area children. From 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, the 2010 LNCI Sky Party offers sky star/planet gazing experience. The following Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the LNCI Take a Nature Walk is a free walk through our oak forest, learing a brief history of efforts to save these important features of our community.
