Dear Association Members,

The USLRA Ranking Committee has completed compiling data for the 2010 World Log Rolling and Boom Running Ranking. The spreadsheets are available online HERE.

For the 2010 season, the Ranking Committee is exploring ways to improve the current ranking system. We have researched other sports in an effort to create a system that represents the results of a given season rather than an event, and to promote overall competition. The Ranking Committee would like your feedback to the 2009 system before it finalizes changes to the system for the 2010 competition season.  Please send your comments to Jon Berad at jkberad@baldwin-telecom.net  by Monday, February 1, 2010.  After a committee meeting and board approval, we will send out the revisions, publish them online, and send the revised ranking system to tournament directors in early March.
 
In closing, we want to thank you for your support of this system. We are a volunteer committee that receives no financial benefit for our work. We give considerable time to this effort because we want to see the sport grow. 

While no ranking system is perfect, we believe this one is very good.  The quality of competition has improved dramatically the past few years because athletes are competing more often.  In the future, tournaments will continue to improve because promoters will look at ways to attract top athletes.
