Matthew Smith and Indelible Grace in Concert Reformed Hymns with New Arrangements Join us on October 25th at 7pm in the Johns Island sanctuary for an acoustic concert of Reformed hymns and songs with Matthew Smith and Indelible Grace. We are encouraging others in the community to attend the concert, so arrive early if you want to get a good seat. A love offering will be taken to cover the cost for the concert.
Matthew Smith is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who writes brand new music to centuries-old hymn texts. He is a founding member of the Indelible Grace community, whose work has drawn acclaim across denominational lines and is used in churches around the world. Born out of a college ministry, the re-imagined hymns have found wide acceptance both among college students and the church at large, joining people who desire to honor tradition with those who want a modern musical approach. His latest album, Watch The Rising Day, explores the tension of living in a broken world while awaiting Christ's return and the restoration of all things.

Using an array of sources from poetry, novels, films, paintings, and photography to classical and contemporary theology, Cox offers a contemporary theological reading of Lamentations. A Call for High School Youth:
Celebration at Camp St. Christopher
October 19-21, 2012
CELEBRATION is a program adapted from the Pilgrimage model specifically designed for senior high age youth. It is an opportunity for these young people to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ during a two day retreat at Camp St. Christopher on beautiful Seabrook Island. Former attendees serve and guide the new ones during the weekend retreat. A select cadre of adults called Moms and Dads assure propriety. Churches have been transformed by the enthusiastic young people who had their eyes opened at CELEBRATION as they worked within their church families to act out their faith. God is working through CELEBRATION. The fruit is evident, and the future looks brilliant because of the pipeline of up and coming young leaders for Christ. If you have or know a 9th through 12th grader who is seeking encouragement, insight, and community in their faith journey, I invite you to promote our upcoming retreat October 19 - 21 to them and provide whatever help they need to decide to attend. If the soil of their heart is fertile and soft, or maybe even a little shallow and crusty, God can use this brief 2-day event to change them dramatically.
Participant and Staff Applications are available at http://sccelebration.weebly.com/. For more information, please contact Mike Allen, Celebration Coordinator (843-200-1899)
