The new choirs are directed by Leanne Seabright and Ricard Bordas, both of whom are highly qualified, experienced directors and greatly respected in Charleston's musical community. They have been selected not only for their professional qualifications, but also for their ability to work with children and youth: both are parents themselves.
The choirs will provide children and youth an excellent opportunity to grow in their listening, rhythm, and singing skills as they learn to worship through song in a loving and nurturing context. The choir schedule is integrated with the Kirk Club activity schedule on Wednesday afternoons.

Presbyterian Pilgrimage Weekend: A Time to Renew Your Faith -- October 4-7, 2012
The Message by Peterson translates Matthew 11:28-30:
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
Does this sound like you? "Tired, worn out, burned out?" Then the Word
may be calling you to Presbyterian Pilgrimage, a short course in Christianity. This three-day spiritual weekend is designed to strengthen your faith, give you a sense of purpose and a new commitment to Christ, and allow you to impact the environment in which you live, worship and work.
And what better place to be closer to Christ than at Camp Saint Christopher on Seabrook Island? It is the ideal place to begin that renewal. You will meet new friends and enjoy incredible food for both the stomach and for the soul.
Adair McCoy, a committed layperson, has been called to be the moderator of the October Pilgrimage. He, his spiritual advisors and all the staff will be there to help you get that sense of purpose to which Christ invites you.
If you would like more information, please contact one of the individuals below or visit our website at: http://www.scpresbyterianpilgrimage.org/. Participant applications are available online or from the individuals below. The cost for the three day weekend is $315. Needs-based scholarships are available, on a limited basis.
Contact SC Presbyterian Outreach Chair Diane Dunham at (843) 873-7404 (dwdunham@sc.rr.com) or SC Presbyterian Pilgrimage Registrar J. C. Simmons at (843) 871- 3944 (jsimmons14@sc.rr.com).
