Does your church have a "Safe Place Covenant"? If so, has your policy been
reviewed recently? Are your teachers and leaders of children's and youth programing trained in preventing, recognizing, and reacting responsibly to child sexual abuse? STEPS will provide an opportunity for you to answer "yes" to all of the questions. Plan now to join us on Saturday, August 25th at the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

Presbyterian Leader
Provides FREE Overview of GA Issues
In continued preparation for the 220th General Assembly, the Leader Reader explores some of the deeper questions that commissioners and advisory delegates may consider while practicing prayerful discernment of issues coming to the General Assembly.
The essay also provides an overview of the types of issues that will be discussed at the General Assembly in Pittsburgh, June 30 - July 7. These issues include revisions to the new Form of Government, reversals to the previous changes in ordination standards, the possible adoption of a new translation of the Heidelberg Catechism, and peacemaking in the Middle East.
Download it at no cost. (You must create an account to download the file, but no credit card is required. The "download pdf" link will be beneath the picture of the document.)
All of the business coming to this year's assembly can be found online at http://pc-biz.org/.
