The McCormick Certificate in Executive Leadership Coming to San Francisco and Montreat 2012 - 2013.
 Applications for Cohorts V and VI of McCormick's highly regarded Certificate in Executive Leadership program are currently being accepted. The Certificate will be offered at the Montreat Conference Center and in the San Francisco Bay area in 2012-2013. The early bird discounted registration fee ends May 15, 2012!
Since its beginning in 2009, pastors, lay leaders, lay staff members of congregations, and executives in regional governing bodies have benefitted from this program which is designed to meet head-on the growing challenges of leadership in today's church. Set within four two-and-a-half day sessions, specially-selected faculty draw on contemporary leadership theory and practice to better equip participants to think and act transformationally, adaptively, and wholistically within their own settings of ministry. Indeed, it is this practical integration of theory and practice in the students' ministry contexts that is the integral core of the program.

 - Friday, May 25, Banquet at Baptist Hill High School Gymnasium at 7:30pm Speaker The Honorable Congressman James E. Clyburn
- Saturday, May 26, Family and Fun Day at the Community Center on Edisto Island from 11:00 am-5:00 pm
- Sunday, May 27, Retirement Program at the Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island ,"The Omni", at 3:00 pm, Rev. Dr. James Herbert Nelson, Director at Presbyterian Church USA in Washington, DC.
Rev. Washington was a former Commissioner of the SC Employment Security Commission, former SC State Senator, former representative in SC State House of Representatives and former chairman of the Sea Island Comprehensive Health Care Corporation's Board of Directors.

Peace Church Celebrates 50th Anniversary
 Peace Church in Goose Creek is celebrating our 50th year this year - which includes our time on Redbank Rd as Goose Creek PC. We will be celebrating this wonderful event and God's blessing on Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd. We will have a dinner and program on Saturday night followed by worship on Sunday morning at 10:00 am. |
