Over 1,600 Teenagers Gather at Faith in 3D
Teenagers are commonly understood as angry, socially alienated and difficult. But standing inside the World ShowPlace at Disney's Epcot theme park, watching the stampede of running, happily shrieking youth descend on the array of Disney characters positioned around the room, it was hard to be cynical about teens.
Over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, some 1,600 middle school and high school youth gathered at Florida's Walt Disney World for Faith in 3D. Click here to continue reading....

"Glory to God":
The Presbyterian Hymnal
The Presbyterian Committee on Congregational Song (PCOCS) completed its work at its meeting in Louisville in mid January. Over 800 hymns, songs, and responses have been selected out of over 10,000 submissions. This summer, the committee will present the list of contents to GA in Pittsburgh. After that, a new Sampler, with 50 hymns and the entire list of contents, will be made public. You can view the covers of the hymnal on the website at presbyterianhymnal.org
There is a pre-publication promotion which offers the hymnal at a much lower price than it will be when it is released in the Fall of 2013. Each Presbyterian Church will be sent information about this soon. You may also contact Charlie Frost at Sea Island Presbyterian Church, Beaufort-843-525-0696 or cfrost@sipcnet.org. He is the Hymnal Advocate for our Presbytery. He is also available to come to your church for presentations on the hymnal or Hymn Festivals.

How Much Do You Know About Lutheran Hospice?
"Believing in the presence of God, the value of human life and the dignity of the individual, themission of Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, as a ministry of the church, is to promote the well- being of older adults by providing residential, health care and hospice services." This is the mission of Lutheran Homes of SC, which includes the ministry of Lutheran Hospice.
When the word hospice is mentioned, it often conjures up thoughts of immediate death, giving up,displacement, and financial hardship.Lutheran Hospice focuses on providing quality, compassionate care to patients and caregivers at end-of-life. Comprehensive medical care is tailored to the patient's physical needs and wishes, allowing the patient to remain pain-free and alert. Patients receive the emotional and spiritual support needed to cope with the many fears of dying, such as being alone, losing control or becoming a burden to others.
A representative is available to come to your church to educate your ministry leaders and congregation about the true ministry of hospice, the features and benefits of hospice, and the ease of accessing hospice at no cost to the patient or family.
Please take the time to learn about this vital ministry. Visit our website at www.lutheranhospice.org or contact Stephanie Bowden at: Lutheran Hospice - Lowcountry, 1885 Rifle Range Rd. Suite 46, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29406, 843-200-6253
