Presbytery Office Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Greetings!

Happy New Year, from the Charleston Atlantic Presbytery!

Join Us in a
Prayer for the New Year

PrayerHoly God of our yesterdays,

our today, and our tomorrows.

We praise You for Your unequaled greatness.

Thank You for the year behind us

and for the year ahead.

Help us in Your new year to fret less and laugh more.

To teach our children to laugh

by laughing with them.

To teach others to love by loving them.

Knowing, when Love came to the stable in Bethlehem, He came for us.

So that Love could be with us, and we could know You.

That we could share Love with others.

Help us to hear Your song in every sunrise,

in the chriping of sparrows in our backyards,

in the stories of our old folks, and the fantasies of our children.

Help us to stop and listen to Your love songs,

so that we may know You better and better.

We rejoice in the world You loved into being.

Thank You for another new year and for new chances every day.

We pray for peace, for light, and for hope,

that we might spread them to others.

We accept Your gift of a new year and we rejoice in what's ahead.

Amen.

Understand Key Developments in Healthcare Reform

healthcareThe Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), or federal healthcare reform, determines certain "dos and don'ts" for the Medical Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), with several provisions, such as the small employer tax credit and the prohibition against placing lifetime caps on healthcare benefits, already in place. Additional provisions are scheduled to go into effect in 2012 and 2013, and the entire law will be in full force in 2014.To help you, as well as plan members, understand what the PPACA requires of employers and consumers and how the law affects coverage under the Medical Plan, the Board of Pensions has created a new web page: http://www.Pensions.org/healthcarereform.
