If we wish to keep peace with our neighbor, we should never remind anyone of his natural defects. -- St. Philip Neri

Greetings!

This is the busiest time of the year at the store, with most area First Communions taking place during the months of April and May. It's wonderful watching the children and their parents select rosaries and prayer books; and helping Godparents and grandparents find just the right gift for this very special occasion. That, along with the Easter Season, makes it our favorite time of the year as well!

We will be closed all day on Good Friday, but will be back to our regular hours on Saturday. Wishing you a blessed Holy Week and a very Joyful Easter!

God bless,
Ann
Theology of the Body

If you've heard about John Paul II's Theology of the Body, but have never quite been up to tackling the 768-page book compiled from his Wednesday audience talks on the subject, go to this Web site:

There, among other things, you can order a talk by Christopher West - "Naked Without Shame: A Crash Course in the Theology of the Body." West is a great speaker and does a magnificent job at breaking open this significant teaching. The 10-CD set is a steal at $4.90 + SH. We'll also have copies at the store as well, so check the next time you're in. We have a number of other books on this topic by Christopher West, as well as John Paul II's book, Man and Woman He Created Them: A Theology of the Body.
A Marvelous Virgin
Hillary Clinton's Visit to the
Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe

From the Catholic News Agency:

Mrs. Clinton was received on Thursday at 8:15 a.m. by the rector of the Basilica, Msgr. Diego Monroy. Msgr. Monroy took Mrs. Clinton to the famous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which had been previously lowered from its usual altar for the occasion. After observing it for a while, Mrs. Clinton asked, "Who painted it?" To which Msgr. Monroy responded, "God!"

Leaving the Basilica half an hour later, Mrs. Clinton told some of the Mexicans gathered outside to greet her, "You have a marvelous virgin!"
