Announcing FY12 Changes in Quality Matters Program Products, Services, and Pricing

With 506 subscribers, over 1600 courses reviewed, and almost 9000 individuals trained, the Quality Matters Program continues to develop new and enhanced tools and materials and is continuing the effort to leverage technology to improve services.  In FY12, QM will release the newly updated QM Rubric, will continue to make available the G6-12 Rubric to existing subscribers, and will introduce the new Publisher Rubric. We will begin offering a consulting service for institution-wide and system-wide QM implementation.  In terms of technology improvements, the MyQM Data System is a real-time data repository for your institution's complete QM Program history and involvement.  MyQM also provides access to some key tools in the implementation of the QM such as the newly redesigned automated Course Review Management System (CRMS).

To support the additional product and service growth, we have had to implement some limited fee schedule adjustments. (QM has not raised subscription service prices since our start as a self-supporting non-profit program in 2006; the modest increase in pricing is still lower than the program's initial fees.)These price increases will become effective July 1, 2011.

Fee schedule increases include:

  • QM Subscriptions: a 10% increase in subscription fees across all categories
  • QM Course Reviews:  fees increasing by $100 for subscribers, and $200 for non-subscribers
  • QM Publications:  the price of most of our publications will increase; however, the higher prices will be more than off-set by the bulk order pricing that is now available for our QM Rubric Workbooks.
  • Professional Development: QM is NOT increasing the costs of workshops; however, the online APP/PRC will be split into two separate trainings. The Applying the QM Rubric Training APPQMR ($200/pp) and the Peer Reviewer Certification PRC ($150/pp) will be conducted as two separate workshops with separate registration.  We are also adding a new annual Master Reviewer re-certification workshop ($50/pp) and will begin to offer open enrollment Elluminate workshops for our standards trainings.

A revised fee schedule will be available to QM subscribers in June.  All pricing changes are effective July 1, 2011.
