Earth Month at On the Green Salon and Day Spa
As part of the Aveda network, On the Green Salon and Day Spa hosted an Earth Month event on Saturday, April 28th to raise funds for the protection of clean water. This year's local Earth Month partner was the "Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper" and with the help of the community was able to raise $1,477.00 this year, exceeding their goal of $1,325.00. This puts them in the running for the title of "Aveda Earth Month Leader" for GA, which will be announced in September issue of Yoga Journal. The success of this event would not have been possible without the wonderful community, who they would like to thank for their continued support and contributions to the Earth Month campaign. A special thanks to The Green Team, Jaclyn Moffat, Max Rogers, the students from St. Marys Elementary School, Ms. Gale Lizana from St. Marys Elementary School, and Casey Bordelon of Pretty Sweet Cakes! They are already planning for next year...hoping to double this year's total and get the "St. Marys Earthkeepers" on the Aveda Earth Month local partner list!
