June 20-28 a team of ten people from GO InterNational traveled to Bogota, Colombia to minister with Children's Vision International, Inc. The team included three members of the GO InterNational board of directors: family physician Cathy Bishop, dentist Allen Burleson, and nurse Jo Ann Stringfellow. CVII operates three homes and a school for at-risk children in Bogota. In addition, they have hosted medical mission teams to reach out to the medically underserved in Bogota and the surrounding area. They have developed a group of Colombian nurses, doctors, dentists and other health care professionals who also help with the outreach.
The team served in Usme, Bogota, Barbosa (2 days), and Villavicencio during the week. Over 1500 people received care during the outreach. During the clinics the drama team from CVII's school performed evangelistic dramas, the worship team preformed and the gospel was presented. The most moving part of the trip for the team was seeing many people respond to the gospel and the students praying with the people, many in tears seeking the Lord.
