THANKSGIVING:  We give thanks and all the glory to our Lord for He is good and has made it possible for us to visit the GO InterNational headquarters in Wilmore for a couple of weeks.   We have been in much need of some rest and refueling.

 
VBS AT SADLE RIDGE RANCH:  While we are here, we've been able to participate in VBS at the "SADDLE RIDGE RANCH" of THE COMMUNITY MISSIONARY CHURCH in Wilmore, where our dear friends Bert and Cheryl Jones serve and pastor as well as the other staff on the GO InterNational team.   I was able to share the Word of God this past Sunday service, and we are enjoying a great stay with the Jones family.  It's been a great time of fellowship, catching up and sharing God's word.

SOUTHLAND CHURCH:  We will also visit and share what the Lord is doing in our home town of Juarez, Mexico with our friends from the Southland Church in Lexington, KY.  Our dear friends Bob and Dianne Stanko will be there with us, and it will be great to see their Sunday school class this next Sunday.

 
MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS:  Through the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the help of GO International's medical team leader, Larry Frick, Zoila and I have been able to have a much needed medical check up and some rest.  Zoila received a good report this week on her condition and will continue a follow up treatment that will help her a lot, and I'm scheduled for a biopsy early next Monday to see what's really going on.  We were scheduled to go to Alabama but have had to cancel that trip due to additional test that the Doctor has ordered for Jorge this coming week.  We are so thankful for all your prayers and friendship, and for our family in GO International. God has provided for us what only he could make happen, and we give him all the glory. 

 

FROM JUAREZ:  As we go back to Juarez in about a week, we will continue to plant our new church.  This time, God is leading us into a very radical and exiting challenge. Three other pastors and ourselves have been praying and coming together to unite our churches into ONE CHURCH.  The violence, crime and corruption that has hit our country and specially our city of Juarez has made us famous for all the wrong reasons. (there were 2,700 executions last year in our city, over 400 last month in June alone)  God is calling us to UNITY and to learn to function as His Body. We will have more on this later, but for now, please keep us in your prayers as he is leading us into a new venture where we all have so much to learn.
