"...a looming challenge in days ahead; we would appreciate your intercession!  GO is helping install a water filtration system at Mt Olivos, Peru. Out GO Team arrived in Lima this morning and begins the long journey to Tarapoto, Sapasoa, Nueva Vida and on to Mt Olivos.  Ryan Douglas will be leading the team of six Americans and four Peruvians; he has made this journey twice.  It is a brutal trip along difficult trails high into the mountains.
 
I will stay with part of the team in Sapasoa and help finish a new church plant in Pasaraya.  Ryan has worked diligently to get all the parts of the filtration system in place, but this is a project we have no significant experience with; we desperately need God´s wisdom and protection with only four days to implement and test the system.  Peruvian villagers will dig the trench for 120 meters of piping to the river. The water filtration system will be powered by solar panels and will be encased in a wooden structure.
 
On a visit to this village last year, we discovered most everyone there is dealing with parasite based illnesses.  We will be teaching hygiene classes and distributing medicine as well.  This clean water system along with the medicine is designed to eliminate many if not most of the water-born diseases.  It will be a great opportunity to share about the Jesus who brings the water of life!  Thanks for standing in the gap with us, I am confident the Lord will see us through to bring honor to Him."
