Children of Olivos

The people of Olivos experience frequent illness due to the quality of the water they drink and cook with. Often children suffer to a greater extent than adults from the effects of water-borne illnesses.

Dear Contact First Name ,

During our last visit to the remote community of Mt. Olivos, we discovered that most of the village suffers from water-borne illnesses, including chronic diarrhea. The people of this village have no means to purify water outside of boiling, which is a slow and labor intensive process. There is also little opportunity to obtain bottled water since it has to come a long distance on horseback...16 miles up a jungle trail.

The Solution...

S12 Water System

After much research and consultation with water purification experts, we have found a system that will satisfy the clean water needs of the entire community...every day. It is a solar powered Ultraviolet water purification system that will operate solely on the power of the sun and produce enough water to provide every person in the community enough clean water daily to be used for drinking, cooking, and hygiene. This system is engineered to be used in jungle settings and requires very little maintenance.

Will you help provide clean water for this village? We take clean water for granted here in the states. We can't imagine the hardship of having to boil every bit of water we use, much less living with the illnesses that polluted water causes. This is one of the many projects that GO is working on to help the poor around the world. It is amazing how much more recpetive the people are to the Gospel of Jesus Christ when they see that we care about their physical needs.
