UVC YOUTH EDUCATION

Spring time at the Chapel has been a wonderfully busy time. Our Easter Egg Hunt was a great success. Thank you, Youth of Unity, sponsors and all who helped to make this a fun event for the children. We started the curriculum "Celebrating My God-self." The lessons are fun and filled with great activities. Children of all ages are welcome to join us on Sundays at 10:30.
We are learning the song "Radiant Life of God" and the children will sing this at the "Moving Up" ceremony on Mother's Day, May 13th. This is our graduation program and we would like to take this time to congratulate our three youth graduating from high school and our youth program, they are Alisha Schwensen, Logan Free, and David Anderson. There are several children moving up to the next level in our program, we are recognizing them also and would like to invite you to join us in celebrating our children.
We are excited to announce that there are openings for those of you who love working with children to be a part of our program! As you know it is very rewarding working with the youth as they teach us so much. To be a part of this growing ministry contact me for details at delongks@unityonline.org. We are making plans for summer camp, which will be held here at the Unity Village Chapel on July 23-27th. This year's theme is on Recycling, Reusing, Reducing. The children will learn about our environment and how they can make a difference. As the plans unfold we will keep you updated.

The "Spring into Service" rally April 20st - 22nd was a huge success! Our chapter did an amazing job planning and hosting this rally. Unity Village YOU team rocks!!!
The rally particpants prepped and painted cottages, weeded and cleared flower beds, cleaned the Activity Center, organized and cleaned the storage closet lovingly called "The Dungeon", and made hot water bottle covers for children in Africa.
The group also had the honor of attending and participating in the Chapel service.
Emily Dolan read the Daily Word, we sang "Sanctuary" and My Roots Go Down". We rocked it out and had a great time! The message was awesome, thank you, Rev. Erin for your inspirational words.
Join us May 6th for our "Baked Potato Bar" fundraiser. Immediately following Sunday Service the YOU will be serving Baked Potatoes with all your favorite toppings, for a suggested love offering of $5.

Uniteens Leaders
We invite youth in 6th-8th grade to join us on Sunday morning at 10:30. We are studying "Bring on the Basics" curriculum which helps preteens examine, through using Unity's Five Basic Principles, their beliefs about God and how their choices create their world.
