Got Manners?
Photo_CharmedA few weeks ago at the Mom 2.0  Summit, I had the pleasure of meeting Anna Post, modern etiquette expert and great-granddaughter of THE Emily Post.

I was kinda star struck...and so excited that I posted a picture of these "mobile manners" stats based on Intel's recent findings from their 2011 State of Mobile Etiquette: Parents, Children and Their Relationship with Mobile Technology survey.

Oh, and I posted it while she was speaking...at a Ritz Carlton High Tea. I know. Classy.

The stats speak or themselves and you can find Anna's recap and tips for how children and parents can improve their mobile manners here.

And as if the universe had something to tell me, shortly thereafter, my daughter and I received an invitation to attend an Easter Tea Party from the delightful and most charming Bette Rebe - mom, former teacher, business owner and founder of Charmed Etiquette, one of New Orleans' hidden treasures offering etiquette classes for all ages, book readings, tea parties, manners lessons, mommy GTGs, business etiquette seminars and etiquette for brides.

Catherine Shreves of NOLA Marketplace did a great job capturing the essence of what Charmed is all about in this video.

This little boutique is absolutely adorable...beautiful, actually.  And I now know where my 4yo will celebrate her 5th birthday.

Afternoon Tea Party, anyone? Charmed handles EVERYTHING from the beautiful invitations to the party favors to the thank you notes. All you have to do is show up...on time.

And assuming I'm not the ONLY mom who sounds like a broken record repeating phrases such as "How do you ask using good manners?", I think it would be so fun to get a group together for one of Betty's Etiquette Classes or Summer Workshops.
For the little entrepreneur in your family

Envelope400John Georges is one of Louisiana's most accomplished entrepreneurs...and he's a dad.

Which is why he has teamed up with Raising Cane's (yum) to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs and bring Lemonade Day to South Louisiana on May 7th.

He wrote us a letter.
