Save CDP Spring Fair @ Palmer Park

 I can think of at least 3 moms who I greatly admire and respect...and whose children attend C.D.P. (Child Development Program).
I've always heard wonderful things about this preschool, which up until now has been located at the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans for almost 35 years.
C.D.P. is getting the boot to make room for the new French Immersion charter school, Lycee Francais de la Nouvelle-Orleans.
But as one C.D.P. teacher puts it in this WWL news report, "We really have come back to the idea that we are not the building...We're our school, and our people and our children, and we can be that anywhere."
I think anyone living in New Orleans, especially those of us who braved "the storm" can relate to this idea.
And one other thing: We always come back stronger.
C.D.P. has found a new home but it is in need of renovations...which cost money. So parents are rallying and the school is holding a Spring Fair to raise funds.
As a community, as a PARENT community committed to supporting each other, come enjoy this wonderful event that will showcase:
- live music;
- over 25 artists and crafters, including local mompreneur (and C.D.P. mom), Tressa Procter-King, owner/jewelry designer of Flambeaux Design Company, Miss Malaprop and NOEMPIRE;
- food booths;
- carnival games; and
- children's activities.
The C.D.P. Fair is this Saturday, March 19th from 10-5pm at Palmer Park (corner of Carrollton & Claiborne Avenues).
