A New School: Raphael Academy
| | nolaParent was created to engage and support the local parenting community.
Sometimes our stories are the same. Often times they are not. But my hope for nolaParent is that by sharing our stories and experiences, we can learn from each other and be a more engaged, more connected (and forgiving) community.
There is a new school in town: Raphael Academy. It is a Waldorf-inspired private school that educates children with special needs ages 6-14. Innovative.
Special needs education may not directly relate to you but chances are you know a parent who has struggled or is now struggling with trying to figure out where to send his/her special needs kid to school.
Our city, like most, does not have the resources to accommodate ALL our children's educational needs and it can be a nightmare for parents - a never-ending battle for resources and finances.
Raphael Academy will hold an Open House this Sunday, February 20, at 517 Soraparu Street, New Orleans, LA 70130.
Parents, Caregivers, and Professionals are welcome.
