The Garden Gates Holiday

Snow, Santa & A Christmas Tree

One of the most charming streets in the city at Christmas time is Old Metairie Road. There is something special about this narrow street with its lights strung overhead and wreaths and bows on every door. It feels like Christmas should...warm and happy.

And warm and happy is just what you'll be at this year's Annual Metairie Road Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony hosted by The Garden Gates and sponsored by the Metairie Road Business Association.

Snow will fall from the sky, carolers will set the mood with holiday favorites and visitors will enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres, compliments of several Metairie Road restaurants.

Even Santa Claus is coming to town for this family fun event.

He arrives at 5:30pm. Photos of your little ones sitting on his knee will be available for you to download for free.

And after all is said and done, everyone is invited to gather around the most beautiful evergreen to light the official Metairie Road Christmas Tree.

This event is free and open to the public.
