GITC Teams With George Winston, Pearl Jam's Wishlist Foundation, BonTaj Roulet, And Other Top Musicians To Support Classroom Music Programs
George Winston "It is great to be associated with everyone, everywhere with Guitars in the Classroom. They are making avenues available to help children and adults to get in touch with their musicality and creativity. It is important to have these avenues available so that when someone is ready to learn, or is simply curious, they can - either pursuing it seriously, or putting it in their personal library for later reference to start again."

(SOLANA BEACH, CA) - Jessica Baron, Executive Director of Guitars In The Classroom, has announced the creation of dynamic new partnerships and involvement with artists, their fans and their affiliated charities in support of the organization's efforts to provide a more musical education for all children. These alliances and related fund-raising events will strengthen GITC's existing programs while raising thousands of dollars to provide new teacher training in music integration around the country.

Recent GITC artist supported activities have included:
BonTaj
· The donation of the profits from three exclusive concert dates by American folk artist George Winston, in conjunction with Dancing Cat Records and High Road Touring.

· Information tabling at concerts in San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix this past September on the BonTaj Roulet Tour (featuring Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal.) Learn more about this effort at www.bontaj.com/thecollective.

Jessica Baron and Danielle Arnold
· The contribution of all proceeds from San Diego's pre-concert party celebrating Pearl Jam, their new "Backspacer" CD and tour, given by their fan's charity, The Wishlist Foundation.

"Guitars in the Classroom was chosen as our beneficiary because we believe that all children deserve to learn to make music. GITC provides training for regular classroom teachers so every student can receive a more musical education. This is a strong cause that our organization and supporters believe in!"
