Bourbon Steak Restaurant Opening Party at the Four Seasons

Adrianne Mickens and Michael Craig
On January 8, 2009 Bourbon Steak celebrated its opening at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown, DC.  From soup to nuts, the experience was remarkable.  I have lived in DC for 5 years now, have dined almost everywhere in the city and thought that I have seen it all.  I was wrong.  The decor and menu coupled with the live jazz band and exceptional service made the night a true success.  Guests enjoyed lobster and shrimp as they sipped champagne and red wine.  Chef Michael even brought a level of elegance to a platter of cheeseburger and fries; and old American classic.  Its tranquil atmosphere and luxe decor makes it the perfect fit for the Four Seasons.

Fashion Industry Updates

The economic stresses of our country has contaminated the fashion industry and everyone from Vera Wang to Macy's has been affected. Last month fashion publications all over the web were reporting that many designers have cancelled their shows in the Tents at Bryant Park. This lineup included Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Vera Wang and Carmen Marc Valvo. Other possible withdrawls are J. Mendel, Monique Lhuillier and Reem Acra.  Bill Blass has finally closed its fashion house and Macy's closed 11 stores.
