Greetings!

Unfortunately it's yet another wet Bank Holiday weekend, but here's the e-news bringing you some local cheer.
 
Big news in the area this month is that the application for a mobile phone mast at the Oval has been withdrawn following a spirited campaign.

Vodafone/O2 have withdrawn their application for a phone mast at the Oval / Hazel Grove. This followed a spirited local campaign against the mast by the local community led by Sarah Wall and supported by Will and Shaun.

43 Upper Oldfield Park (Widcombe Ward) Resubmission of Application. This application is still awaiting review by planning officers. Will and Shaun have asked that the application is heard in public by the planning committee in the event that Planning Officers recommend approval of this application.

On Saturday 5th June The Charter Trustees of the City of Bath will hold their Annual General Meeting in Bath Abbey to confirm Shaun McGall as the 783rd Mayor of our City.
 
A civic procession will leave the Guildhall at 10:40, to arrive (via Stall Street) at the Abbey for the start of the meeting at 11:00. The meeting will last about an hour, it is free and open to the public.
 
In addition this year, Olympic Gold medalist Amy Williams will be conferred the Freedom of the City of Bath. 
 
Please come and support Shaun and Amy on what will be a very special day.

Moorlands Infant School 60th Anniversary Celebration - 4th May at 09:15 Willow Green
 
General Election - 6th May 0700-22:00
 
On-Board litter pick - Saturday 9th May. Meet on Brook Road (at Oldfield Park Station) 10:50 for a 11:00 start. Litter picking in the area followed by refreshments at Matty's cafe from 12:30.

Licensing news
Flower StallUnfortunately the licensing committee rejected the application for a flower stall for Moorland Road. We are disappointed by this outcome and hope that the applicant will make a revised application.
