Keep Connected
Dear Friends of the Westwood Jr/Sr High,

Last week was the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new science wing.  The labs look incredible and ready to teach our children with state of the art technology.  It almost make me want to go back to school to retake some of those science classes!

The Board of Education also issued a statement regarding the negotiations with the W.E.A.  A copy of the statement is to the left.

The first planning meeting for the fashion show for next year (winter 2010) is Feb 9 at 8pm in the teachers' cafeteria.  Please join us!

Sincerely,
 JB Signature

W.E.A Negotiations Update

The Westwood Regional Board of Education is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement was reached at the January 13th mediation session between the Board and the Westwood Education Association (W.E.A.).

The Board desired a competitive compensation package that would enable the district to recruit and retain high quality professionals who would best provide superior instructional and support services, while at the same time recognizing the fiscal responsibility it owes to the public given the current state of the economy and the constraints of limited budgetary resources.

The Board of Education looks forward to continuing the positive relationship with the W.E.A. as we work together on our common goal of providing Excellence in Education for the students and families we serve.
