Lent-Easter Lectionary Pericope Study
February 13 - Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, OH
February 20 - Good Hope Lutheran Church, Youngstown, OH
Learn to Preach like a Methodist Circuit Rider
Clayton CroyN. Clayton Croy, associate professor of New Testament at Trinity, knows something about preaching like a Methodist, since he is a member of the United Methodist Church and a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. He also holds an M.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Ph.D. from Emory University. This pericope study is designed to help clergy and lay preachers prepare for the challenge of preaching in the season of Lent and Easter in 2009, but it will also briefly examine the circuit riding tradition from colonial and 19th century America. The study takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. For more information or to register online click here.
