Commencement Held May 24graduation art
Fifty-two students from Trinity and six students from Bexley Hall Episcopal Seminary received diplomas during comencement exercises on May 24. Ann M. Svennungsen, president of Texas Lutheran University, gave the commencement address.

Also read President Mark R. Ramseth's farewell to the graduates and Professor Emlyn Ott's sermon from the morning Eucharist.
Lakeside Convocation September 2-4Seminary exterior
"Relating the Gospel to a Pop Culture Audience: Exploring a Crisis in Ministry," is the topic of the annual Lakeside Theological Convocation, held September 2-4, 2008, at the Methodist Conference Center in Lakeside, Ohio.

Presenters include Dr. Christian Sharen, director of the Faith as a Way of Life Project at the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, and Dr. Lynn Schofield Clark, assistant professor and director of the Estlow International Center for Journalism and New Media at the University of Denver.
 
The presenters will explore the impact of contemporary media and popular culture on the faith, life, and traditions of the church. Click here to register online.
Jim Wallis to Speak at Trinity SeJim Wallisptember 25
Preacher, activist and editor of Sojournersmagazine JimWallis will provide this year's T.A. Kantonen lecture on Thursday, September 25, during Trinity Days 2008.

Wallis will address "The Meaning of Prophetic Politics in an Election Year" during a lecture and public forum in the Gloria Dei Worship Center. The day's events begin with worship at 10 a.m., followed by the keynote address at 1:30 p.m. Following his lecture, Wallis will be presented with the Sylvester C. Michelfelder Award for Christian Service.
