Pittcon Collaborates
 on Webinar Series
Pittcon and Wiley-Blackwell will produce four webinars in 2008-2009 to kickoff  the new "Wiley-Blackwell/Pittcon Webinar Series"
Pittsburgh, PA - October 15, 2008 - Wiley-Blackwell, publisher of Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical and Food Science publications and Pittcon have struck an agreement to combine their information resources to produce four webinars in 2008-2009 as the kickoff to the new "Wiley-Blackwell/Pittcon Webinar Series".

Rick Biros"The collaboration makes sense, given both entities' commitment to promoting science and science education. Wiley-Blackwell is globally recognized as the leading global publisher in chemistry, and Pittcon represents the world's premier Conference and Exposition devoted to laboratory science," said Rick Biros, Business Development Director Global, Life and Physical Sciences Wiley/Blackwell.

The webinars are hour-long web-based seminars delivered to a global audience of scientists on a specific topic of interest. Initial plans include coverage of two horizontal application topics, eg chromatography and spectroscopy, and two industry-specific topics such as food analysis and pharmaceutical analysis.
 Adrian Michael

Pittcon 2009 Marketing Chairman Adrian Michael commented "We are continually looking for new and exciting ways to promote Pittcon throughout the year. We strongly believe this partnership will be mutually beneficial to both organizations and prove to be a valuable resource for the scientific community."

Each program will be delivered by a respected scientist or thought leader in the relevant industry and made freely available to a limited number of attendees. The strong brand identity and quality content of both Pittcon and Wiley-Blackwell will attract top quality speakers for attendees. The content of each webinar will be digitally recorded and posted on both the Pittcon and Wiley-Blackwell websites.
