Still Curious After All These Years
|
Greetings!
I'll be the first to admit: I was born insatiably curious. (Some would say born insatiably nosy. . . ) My childhood neighbor, Auntie Belle, nicknamed me Mrs. Walter Winchell because if someone wanted to know what was happening on Wentworth Road in Canton, Mass., I was the girl to ask! (For those of you my age or older, back then Walter Winchell was a gossip columnist extraordinaire.) Here I am 50 years later, still nosy curious. And glad that I am, too. Because every time I interview a Quest Maker I come away energized, inspired and feeling as if I have been to the moon and back!
With this issue, Your Next Quest Chronicles begins its third year of publication. To celebrate, I yielded, oh so deliciously, to curiosity again. I wanted to continue the conversation with some Quest Makers from the first year. What have they been up to? Where are they on their journeys?
I figured if I were curious, you might be too. Except I wanted to mix it up. When I conduct the Quest Maker interviews I record them. Until now, the recordings have just been for me as backup to catch what I miss because my fingers aren't as fast as my ears as I type.
This time, I wanted to participate fully in the conversation. And I thought, wouldn't it be lovely to invite all of you to listen in to the conversation so you can hear the Quest Makers tell their own stories?
Enjoy!
PS. This month's flower is a bouquet of flowers for the 23 Quest Makers I've interviewed in the last two years. (Photo: CC © hello-julie)

What have Hilary Cooper-Kenny (October 2008), Judith Shangold (December 2008) , Margaret Winter (February 2009), Tracy Colson (May 2009), Cheryl Young (June 2009) and Camille Saunders Musser (September 2009) been up to in the past two years? Where they are now in their own quests, how have their own personal journeys continued to unfold?
- Has Hilary continued to find success unexpected in common hours?
- Where have Judith's interests and love of teaching taken her?
- Has Cheryl been able to help young girls be pilots of their own lives?
- What new directions has Camille's art taken? What's happening with Youlou Arts?
- Was Tracy able to help save Three Sisters Springs and protect the manatees?
- Were fascinators the passing fad that Margaret thought they were?
