G'day Everyone, As the title of this Newsletter indicates it was a sad day last Friday, Jan 28 when fellow Pro racer Nathan Woods (two time WORCS Pro Champion) passed away from injuries sustained in a practice crash while preparing for the first round of the WORCS race series the following day. We all understand the high risk of injury whenever we throw a leg over our bikes to go ride but never really expect such possible injuries to escalate to anything more than, at worst, a minor surgery, a plaster cast, and some time off the bike to fully recover. Our sincerest condolences go out to Nathan's wife Amanda and their two young boys, Nate and Braxton, plus the rest of the Woods family. To help out in these times of need for the Woods family, we are going to raffle off a free spot on Row 48 (we will personally pay your $55 race entry fee!) for the first round of the National Enduro Series, to be held near Columbia, SC on February 27. Entries for this race sold-out nearly two months ago, so along with the separate March of Dimes Fundraiser raffle we are also conducting further down, here is the last opportunity for any of you to get a confirmed spot in what will be an epic race! Not only will 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets be forwarded to the Woods family, but our DirtWise business will personally match the funds generated up to $500. Click here to purchase a ticket. Raffle ticket prices are 1 ticket for $5 or 5 tickets for $20. Another way to help support the Woods family is to go and purchase one of the "Offroad How To" Instructional DVDs that Nathan filmed a few years ago. Our friends at www.motoxcinema.com are donating 100% of the sales from that DVD to the family also. Here is the trailer for that Instructional DVD. As you can see, not only were there some epic shots captured, but also that Nate could really twist the throttle. I got to spend a pretty funny 24 hours with Nathan after the amazing Idaho City Qualifier race back in 2006. We went filming a segment for our Common Ground action/entertainment style DVD the following day and he was supposed to join us but wasn't able to attend due to the effects of the previous night's antics, ha, ha! Here's also a link to a poem written for Nathan's wife by another offroad enthusiast. This poem also applies to all loved ones that watch from the other side of the fence. A Second Chance to Win
(and support a great cause!)
| As mentioned above we are also conducting a separate raffle of another free spot on Row 48 at the first race of the National Enduro's in 2011. Again, 100% of the proceeds will be donated, but this time to the March of Dimes Organization, which is a cause that we strongly support due to the issues we faced when our oldest son Rionn was born. Check out this link to the March of Dimes to find out about their missionto make sure that one day all babies will be born healthy!
Just to be clear if you only purchase a ticket for one of these raffle then you will only be eligible for the drawing of that one free entry for the Nat. Enduro, but not the other free entry from the separate raffle drawing. Buy one ticket for $5 or five tickets for $20. Both winners will be drawn from separate boxes on Monday, Feb 14 and notified immediately. Both of these worthy causes thank you in advance for your generosity. Visit our store to buy your raffle tickets now!

Special Offer To Our Mates Down Under:
| I just got back from a hugely successful trip to Australia to conduct two regular DirtWise schools and our very first DirtWise HardCore Advanced level school, plus to begin the filming for our new Advanced #3 and #4 Instructional DVDs. All three of the schools went off perfectly and it sounds like all of the students thought it was extremely worthwhile in them attending. So having said that we are now announcing another regular DirtWise school to be conducted at the Three Bridges location, near Yarra Junction in Victoria, about an hour east of Melbourne. The date for this school will be April 23/24, the Friday/Saturday of the Easter weekend. Already this school is about half full so if any of our other Aussie mates are interested in attending they had best be getting their registrations in soon before this one sells out like the previous ones did in less than a week!!!
On a separate note to make it easier for me to facilitate a bike to use back there in Oz for this school, and to lighten the burden on those who have made this happen in the past I'm going to send back from the US either a new 200XC or 300XC 2 stroke, and one of the all new 350XCF offroad enduro bikes. Once I'm done with each bike they will only have 15 to 30 minutes of ride time on them (used just for demonstrations and initial school set-up) - they won't even be "run in" by that stage! I'll be flogging them off for about $3000 below their Australian retail price. These bikes will come all set up with working lights etc so as they can be immediately Rec rego'd. The other bike option I have of sending back there to use in the school is a new 2010 Husaberg 450FX or FE. I rode one of these in 2010 for about a week in the Colorado high country and it was sensational. This one should sell for about $4000 below retail. Now there's a bargain!!!
If anyone is interested let me know asap so as I can decide what I'm going to ride at this school, and so as I can get those bikes sent to Oz before the Feb 28 deadline.

| Riding School Dates and Locations Update for 2011
| | So yeah, things have been busy around here so unfortunately we have not been able to yet confirm any of our proposed schools during the months from June through September. We will be working on this over the next few weeks and will announce in our next Newsletter, in early March, the full complement of confirmed schools to be conducted during that period of the year. Doing this will still give you all at least 4 months of prep time before that first school near Indianapolis on June 4/5. For our friends in Colorado we will be conducting a HardCore school in Colorado on July 7/8 (Thur/Fri) and a regular school on July 9/10 seeing as our upcoming school there in March sold-out in record time! Stay tuned for more news soon!!! |

That about brings this month's newsletter to a close. Be sure to live life to the fullest but please try not to take too many big risks, at least when you are out roosting on the trails.
As always we will continue to donate a portion of each student's tuition fee to both the Blue Ribbon Coalition , which helps keep offroad motorcycle trails open, and the Rider Down Foundation who help responsible riders that have been seriously injured or the families of those that may have passed away.
Keep on roosting!
