G'day Everyone,
So I'm just about to walk out the door for a week long road trip
hitting two schools along the way- one near Pittsburgh, PA and the other up in Canada about an hour east of Toronto. The Toronto school will be held out at the Trail Tours venue on the edge of the Ganaraska Forest, which has something like over 150 miles of primo single track. You could compare it to the type of riding in the UP of Michigan, except maybe better! I was there last year and I'm not kidding you on how great the riding is there so this year Steve from Trail Tours has organized a one day trail ride through the forest for this Friday (June 26) and I'll be joining in on it seeing as it is the day before my DirtWise riding school there.
Contact him at Ph 18779395267 or www.trailtour.com for more info about the ride.
Thanks for reading and hopefully we'll see you all out of the trails sometime soon.

Cheers!

Upcoming Stillwell Performance Off-Road Adventure Ride

More great news for Colorado is that my great mate (and suspension tuner!) Alan Stillwell from Stillwell Performance is starting to conduct guided trail tours out in those beautiful mountains. He will be offering separate tours for daul sport and hard core single track riders. He will be conducting a three day mountain tour on Aug 14-16 out of Pitkin, CO and I will be there!!! I can't wait to go blasting the high country with a bunch of like minded riders on some of the best trails you can find world wide.

My first experience with riding in the Colorado high country was with the legendary Malcolm Smith back in 2003. I had to ride an old 1978 XR500 that he had stored in the back shed and....... Well we finally rode out of the mountains at 10pm in a rainstorm but still 70 miles from where we started. It was pure
Malcolm, and is a totally classic story that can be told some other time. There's only a couple of spots left for this fast approaching trail ride and more info can be found at www.stillwellperformance.com.  Check it out and join us for an awesome time!

Website to check out!

Talking about excellent single track, our good mate and former student Wade Wasinger notified us of a new website that is an organized effort to help protect and hopefully create more designated singletrack trails in the US. It will also be a great way to find out about some new killer trails for you all to go explore.
Visit this new site by clicking here.

Here's some random video clips from the net to help you pass some time and to get you dreaming!

  • Here's a race I want to do, but you would need to be careful of the start straight:

  • Here's a slight mistake I made at my Colorado school back in 2008. You can hear my mate "The Freak" laughing which wasn't so nice especially seeing as I was riding his room mate's (Nuemy) bike;

  • Here's a previous student who set up one of our advanced fundamental exercises from our new Volume 1 Instructional DVD. He said, "I've watched it about 10 times and on Friday night I watched it and decided to build on one of your training ideas riding the railroad ties. By the way it took me about 2 hours to master it, looking ahead is really important and the next day I felt many muscles in my body that I don't think were used in quite some time.

And I hope you all got to see the Tight Downhill Switchbacks Riding tip that we did that was featured in the June issue of Dirt Rider magazine.

Time to go as I have a heap of students waiting for me at the next
school. We'll see you all out on the trails soon!
                    Cheers!
