G'day Everyone,

Finally it's time for us to come up for a moment and take a breath! I'm sure you are all pretty much the same as us in that there's too much stuff going on with work/life that you wonder how you're going to possibly fit it all in. And unfortunately sometimes you just don't get to complete some things, such as in our case the monthly "Watts Happening" Newsletter..... for the last four months!

We've had heaps and heaps of these events going on during this time, from racing at the Nationals, to doing DirtWise schools, releasing the first DVD in our new series of Advanced Instructional DVDs, organizing future events, and right on through to our hectic family life!

Speaking of the new DVD, it has been selling like the proverbial hot cake. I'm stoked that all of you guys have found it to be very beneficial. We are planning to finish filming Volume 2 at the DirtWise school we are conducting in West Virginia on July 11/12. If you're in the area make sure you sign up for the school and possibly you could become an international legend just like Mr. Wanker has.

My racing results from all of the Nationals I did weren't so great when I crossed the finish line at each event, but that was mainly due to a lack of time to dedicate to hard core training program. For the first half of each race though I was definitely in the mix and having a great time roosting around with all of my old mates from the front row. Later this year I'll be competing at the ISDE in Portugal and I can't wait for that as I'm planning to put in a stellar performance there. Before that though I'm getting lined up to do a few rounds of the Endurocross series..... well, as long as Fehorse and Flop finally get around to building me a practice track to train on.

Our DirtWise schools are in full swing at the moment and I've been having a "grouse" time with all of the excellent locations we've conducted schools at and getting to meet and teach the hundreds of students that have come through the door. The majority of the schools have sold out and what a blast they have been! Just before last week's school in Nor Cal I was able to suit up and turn some quick laps with my old mate Brian G. It was just like the glory days!!!

The Pic above is my son, Rionn with his god-father and our great friend and pit savior, Andy.   Thanks again for all your help, Andy-and everyone else who makes it possible for us to make it to the races!

Thanks for reading and hopefully we'll see you all out of the trails sometime soon.

Cheers!

Dirtwise Graduate Shout Out!

Each week I check to see most of the regional race results from across the US on www.offroadchampions.com and it's such a pisser (that's a good thing in Oz) to see so many of our previous students doing so well in their respective events. I could list pages of DirtWise students who have hit the podium in their class during 2009. A couple of the top of my head include Nick Hunter's overall victory at the last NETRA Enduro, Zack Smith winning 200B and placing 25th overall at the last GNCC. Then there is our old daredevil mate Wally Wanker, the crash test dummy from Volume 1 of our recently released Advanced Instructional DVD series, who implemented the sand riding techniques we demonstrated and put them to great use by winning the Open B class by a staggering 15 minutes at the first GNCC of the year. It's a good thing he bumped himself up to the A class at the next race. Congratulations to all of you guys out there who got on the podium, and to everyone else who just had a great (and safe) time while riding their dirtbike.

Mini-Me!

Rionn is learning the tricks of the trade early and even had his first bike (Tricycle) crash yesterday while trying to ride down our driveway at top speed. Of course, he is only 20 months, can't reach the pedals and tricycles don't have brakes, so the outcome was a total crash and burn!  He's tough, though.  But, like me, he'll probably not learn from it and do it again! As they say, like father, like son!  Poor kid!

Dirtwise with Shane Watts Upcoming Event Updates

The remaining DirtWise schools for 2009 are filling up real fast so make sure you sign up before there aren't any spots remaining. We have just secured an awesome spot for our upcoming DirtWise school in Washington state, with the location being just 30 miles north of Seattle on a sensational piece of property. Currently there are only 5 spots remaining for this class. We are now able to announce a school in the Tulsa, OK region to be conducted on Sep 19/20, the weekend following the Blackjack Enduro at the Wolf's Den property. Hopefully in the next two weeks we will be able finalize a second school at our Pitkin, CO location during August, and also our schedule for November and December with visits to the San Fran/Sacramento area, Georgia, Houston Texas, Mississippi, So. Cal, and here close to home in North Carolina.
