STORYWISE SEMINAR:  HOW TO TELL A STORY THAT SELLS

I will be teaching from my book STORY LINE: FINDING GOLD IN YOUR LIFE STORY.  Books will be available for sale after the seminar.

 

I will also be putting together panelists from the feature and TV world as a way to get you the most current information. I currently have a writer from DEXTER and a writer from THE GOOD WIFE.

PILOT TELESEMINAR BEGINS SUNDAY, MAY 8th at 4:00 p.m.

What if you could write a TV spec and pilot script in 10 weeks under the guidance of a veteran studio executive who has worked in the business for over 18 years and has successfully helped to staff over 15 top prime time shows and is currently the Writing Instructor for NBC's Writers on the Verge.  Would you be interested? 
 

Sign ups have begun.  Last year, there were 100 people participating in this teleseminar.  Only 5 people for the spec teleseminar and 5 people for the pilot teleseminar will be able to sign up at the upper level.  So, if you want feedback every week on your scripts, sign up ASAP.

 

To give you an idea of what to expect, it includes 5 calls that run an hour in length for the Spec Teleseminar and 5 calls that run an hour in length for the Pilot Teleseminar.  For Level 1, you will get 10 hours of instruction.  You will also get an instant community of writers to utilize as contacts and you will get an opportunity to pitch your idea or ideas at the end of each call.  You can also sign up for a one on one consult with me at a reduced rate for taking the seminar.

 

For Level 2, your assignment will be due the Saturday morning before each Sunday class.  For Level 1, you want to keep on this schedule to complete your scripts.

This format is used in both of the Spec and Pilot Teleseminar

Week 1 - Concept

Week 2 - Outline

Week 3- First draft of script or first half of script

Week 4 - Second draft of script or full script

Week 5 - Third draft of script

 

Everyone on the call will get copies of the assignments of the people participating at Level 2.  This way you can see everything that goes into writing a stand out script.

This course is modeled to prepare you for the Writing Programs, staffing and selling your pilot.
