PILOT TELESEMINAR BEGINS SUNDAY, MAY 8th at 4:00 p.m.

There is a promo on YouTube that explains it in more detail that was produced by Superneato Productions.

What if you could write a TV spec and pilot script in 10 weeks under the guidance of a veteran studio executive who has worked in the business for over 18 years and has successfully helped to staff over 15 top prime time shows and is currently the Writing Instructor for NBC's Writers on the Verge.  Would you be interested?

Sign ups have begun.  Last year, there were 100 people participating in this teleseminar.  Only 5 people for the spec teleseminar and 5 people for the pilot teleseminar will be able to sign up at the upper level.  So, if you want feedback every week on your scripts, sign up ASAP.

Testimonials For Storywise Teleseminar

You can spend hours upon hours, draft after draft, trying to bang your pilot into a predetermined shape or fit your story into a formula.  Jen's special talent as a teacher - really, as a spirit guide for story - is to show you how to find structure and emotion.  The elements of story that might look mechanical are right there inside your characters, and if you listen to them (and to her), you can let them out.

Michelle Chihara & Josh Joy Kamensky, NBC-Uni Writers On The Verge

Jen, This has been such an inspirational five weeks.  Your guidance through the narrative, spiritual and emotional process of writing a new pilot from scratch has helped me immensely - not only on this project - but also with all my work going forward.  Instead of being exhausted by the process, I am energized!

NEW VENTURES
I recommend the following two companies that I am helping to launch because we share a vision of wanting the artist to succeed.

VOYAGE MEDIA

"The Top 3 things TO DO when dealing With Agents & Executives, & the Sure-Fire Way To Make Them Your *New Best Friend!*"  - To see what these top 3 things are, press here.

Voyage Media have just introduced these really cool sessions where you work one-on-one with an a-list producer/executive who reads your material and strategizes with you how best to pitch it and sell it in the marketplace. The sessions are super-enlightening and fill you in on who is doing what and with whom, how your project might get green lit, and how to approach agents & execs with your pitch -this is stuff you can't read in the trades - so that you don't blow it when your moment comes.

And for now, until next week, the sessions are $100 off. http://www.voyagemedia.com

EMovieBooks & Scripts
Do you have scripts sitting in your drawers that have been passed on?  What if you could turn them into a published book, would you be interested?

Film and television director Hubert de la Bouillerie and his wife (former film executive and producer Debbie Robins), have created EMovieBooks & Scripts(emoviebooks.com)as the first and only online store to sell works from Hollywood screenwriters for download to computers and mobile readers like iPad and Kindle. The site features EMovieBooks - screenplays that have been formatted to read like novellas - as well as traditional film scripts, teleplays, novels, and short stories. emoviebooks.com.

Screenwriters to this program receive at least two pieces of studio style coverage to help them improve their next draft. Submissions receiving a 'consider' and/or 'recommend' grade are forwarded to various production companies, agents and managers.

To enter, please visit www.scriptwritersnetwork.org for further details.

 QUOTE OF THE MONTH

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Happy Holidays!
