Every now and then, you experience a moment of sheer joy and pure inspiration inspired by something you read or watch that speaks to you and builds your spirit in a very magical way. This is what happened to me when I read Seth Godin's latest book, LINCHPIN. In LINCHPIN, Seth writes, "Every organization needs a linchpin, the one person who can bring it together and make a difference. Some organizations haven't articulated it, but we need artists. Artists are people with a genius for finding a new answer, a new connection, or a new way of getting things done. That would be you."

LINCHPIN is one of the BEST books I've read this year.  In this book Seth Godin talks about the old American Dream versus the New American Dream.  Seth writes, "The new American Dream I'm talking about, the revolution in relevance, in mattering, in interacting -- there isn't room for everyone.  Instead, we'll keep slots open until we have enough indespensable people, until we have found the few people willing to abandon their resumes, throw out the rulebook, and make a difference.  Then we'll go back to work."  You can read some excerpts from it in my blog.

STEVEN PRESSFIELD - WRITING WEDNESDAYS
Steven Pressfield, author of THE WAR OF ART, interviewed me for his series Writing Wednesdays on the "All is Lost" moment in story.

The "All is Lost" moment is the part of your story where your central character is as far away from achieving the goal as possible.
